Greetings
Welcome to our Jesus-centered Community.

I'm New Here

When was the last time someone asked you what you believe? At Transformation Church, we believe faith starts with honest questions. We welcome curiosity, doubt, and discovery. We don't claim to have all the answers, but we find joy and purpose in exploring them together. Whether you're new to church or returning after a long time, you're not just welcome—you belong.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is it like? Transformation Church is a relaxed, vibrant, Jesus-centered community. Our worship is contemporary and Spirit-led; our teaching is practical and rooted in Scripture and centered on the Gospel; and our culture is characterized by grace, warmth, and welcome.

We follow a God who looks like Jesus. That means we focus on love, grace, and service, rather than on politics, pressure, or pretense. We don't tell you how to vote—we're here to help you follow Jesus and live out His radical love in everyday life.

We care about relationships: with God, with our families, and within our community, especially those who feel wounded, excluded, and suffering. Here, your past doesn't disqualify you. We're all on a journey of transformation. We enjoy a diverse community, with several members from the recovery community thriving and experiencing storybook lives.

What about my kids? We love kids and take their spiritual development seriously! Our Transformation Kids ministry is led by trained, background-checked volunteers who love Jesus and love your children. Through fun, safe, age-appropriate activities, your kids will learn how to follow Jesus, ask good questions, and grow in faith alongside your family.

We also have a secure check-in process for your peace of mind.

What about youth? At Transformation Church, our youth aren't sidelined—they're central. We believe they are not just the future of the Church—they are already part of its present movement.

Our youth ministry, called NextGen Youths, is rooted in the mission of NextGen Ministries of the United Methodist Church:

"To nurture and empower young people to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who live lives of love, justice, and service."

NextGen Youths is a holistic, Jesus-centered ministry for middle and high school students that provides not only spiritual formation but also real leadership opportunities, missional engagement, and deep belonging. We're not raising spectators—we're raising disciples, leaders, and servant-hearted young adults.

What Makes NextGen Youths Unique?

🌱 A Holistic Approach We integrate faith formation from childhood through young adulthood. Youth have a place here and a path forward. We create continuity, mentoring, and discipleship that meet them where they are and grow with them.

✝️ Discipleship-Focused We help our students grow in their relationship with Jesus, navigate real questions, and live out the Gospel with clarity, confidence, and compassion. Their lives are grounded in Scripture, guided by the Spirit, and shaped by love.

🎯 Leadership Development NextGen Youths aren't observers—they're participants. They serve in worship, tech, hospitality, and community outreach. They help lead our events and ministries. They are being equipped as the next generation of pastors, leaders, missionaries, and creators.

🤝 Community & Belonging Youth experience deep connection through weekly gatherings, small groups, retreats, and shared service. Our back wing is fully equipped with games, hangout space, breakout rooms, and everything they need to build friendships and lifelong memories in a safe and welcoming environment.

🌍 Mission and Service NextGen Youths are involved in real ministry. From local outreach to larger service projects, they demonstrate their faith by helping others, both within and outside the church.

🏡 Family and Church Partnerships We walk alongside parents, caregivers, and the whole church body to surround our youth with love, wisdom, and spiritual support. Discipleship doesn't happen alone, and we believe in walking together.

Safe, Structured, and Spirit-Filled.All youth leaders are thoroughly background-checked, trained, and fully committed to walking with students in a manner that is safe, Christ-like, and accountable. Parents can trust that their teens are being guided by people who genuinely care for them and are passionate about their spiritual development.

Youth as Part of the Body of Work Our youth are not tucked away in a separate silo—they are woven into the whole life of Transformation Church. They contribute to:

  • Worship Leadership

  • Recovery & Mental Health Ministry

  • Food Pantry and Shoe Ministry

  • The Abilities Ministry

  • Hospitality and Prayer Teams

  • T-Life Communities

They also support Transformation Church's vision of being a self-supporting, missional, Jesus-centered community through their giving, service, and leadership development.

Why It Matters The world is loud—but Jesus still calls. NextGen Youths helps young people hear that call, know His voice, and follow Him with courage. It's a place to belong. A place to be transformed. A place to lead.

We are building a generation that's:

  • Rooted in Jesus

  • Grounded in grace

  • Empowered to serve

  • Formed for the future

We are raising NextGen Transformers—young disciples prepared to live, love, and lead like Jesus.

What do I wear? Wear what feels right for you. Some people wear jeans and T-shirts. Others dress up. Most of us are somewhere in between.

We're more focused on joy than judgment—more concerned with hearts than with hemlines. Come as you are. Worship is for everyone.

How can I get connected? We make connections easy.

  • Greeters will welcome you at the door.

  • Connection Cards (available in both paper and digital forms via our app) enable you to share your interests or prayer needs.

  • Visit the Welcome Table to meet a member of our team and learn about small groups, upcoming events, or service opportunities.

  • Join a T-Life Community or take a Growth Class to discover your gifts and deepen your Jesus-centered life.

We want to walk with you, not just welcome you.

Where do I park? We offer ample free parking, including accessible spaces for individuals with disabilities. Our friendly parking team will help you find a spot quickly and safely.

Do I have to believe everything to belong? Not at all. Transformation Church is a safe place to explore faith at your own pace. You can belong before you think. Bring your questions, your doubts, and your story.

How long is the service? Most of our services last about 60–70 minutes. We include worship, prayer, and a Gospel-centered approach designed to help you live a life centered on Jesus. We promise not to waste your time, but we do hope to fill it with something meaningful.

Do you serve communion? Yes. We practice open communion, which means everyone is welcome at the table, regardless of their background or church history. We believe communion reflects the radical grace and oneness Jesus offers to all.

What if I'm coming back after being hurt by the church? You're not alone. Many of us carry wounds from religion or church culture. Transformation Church exists to be a different kind of place—a healing place. We don't pretend to be perfect, but we do aim to be authentic, loving, and Jesus-centered. There's space here for your story.

What about baptism? We believe baptism is a sacred gift that celebrates God's grace and our new life in Christ. At Transformation Church, we joyfully practice both infant and believer's baptism. For infants, it symbolizes God's covenant and the community's commitment to help raise the child in faith. Later in life, we invite our youth to respond personally through Confirmation—a time to make a public commitment to follow Jesus as Lord and to live a life centered on Jesus. Adults seeking baptism are also welcome and guided through the process with care and joy.

Are you a denominational church or a non-denominational church? Transformation Church is a United Methodist Church. We are committed to the values, mission, and social principles of the United Methodist Church (UMC). Each UMC congregation functions autonomously within a connectional framework, allowing us to reflect our unique, Jesus-centered identity.

We follow the radical vision of Galatians 3:26–29—where there is no Jew or Gentile, enslaved person or free, male or female, but all are one in Christ Jesus. We reject all worldly identity markers—gender, sexuality, race, politics, job titles, degrees, zip codes, or past failures—as ultimate. Instead, we invite everyone into a new identity in Christ. In Jesus, there is no identity crisis—only oneness, equality, and belovedness.

Our goal is to love everyone, including our enemies, and to help all people live vibrant, Jesus-centered lives.
