Last week, I had the privilege of sharing The Best News Ever in Lake Jackson, Texas. During my talk, I shared the story of Damian and Jane, our two grandchildren who became part of our family through our daughter, Danielle, and her husband, Sam, who was living in Lake Houston, Texas at the time. At just two and four years old, they faced many challenges. Yet, in a relatively short time, their lives were transformed—not just theirs, but all of ours—because of love.

At one point, I made a simple but profound statement:

"If you're here tonight and you don't believe in God, at least believe in love."

Afterward, a young woman, likely in her 30s, stood in line to thank me for coming. When she reached me, she said, "Thank you for your talk. I have to tell you—I don't believe in God, but I do believe in love."

I smiled and asked, "Can I ask you a question? I'll start a phrase, and you fill in the blank."

She hesitated for a moment, then said, "Sure."

I asked, "What if God believes in you? Now, fill in the blank—God is __________?"

She paused—stumped for a second—but then, without missing a beat, she said, "Love."

She laughed and added, "You got me!"

I shook my head and said, "No, my sister—God's got you and always has."

She chuckled and replied, "I still don't believe in God."

I smiled and said, "You could've fooled me."

She grinned and walked away, but something in her had shifted.

Now, I pose the same question to you, especially if you wrestle with doubt or struggle to believe in a Higher Power:

What if God believes in you?
