Day Three

Wisdom Promises (Read Proverbs 2)

How often have you ignored the wise suggestions of family, friends, officials, and God to experience life on your terms? There are heavy consequences when we heed the warnings that correlate with practicing foolishness.

Most people have pondered this question repeatedly: "What is God's will for my life?" The best news ever is that he shared it with us; he even gave it to us in writing. It's called Scripture. Inside, you'll discover the blueprint for living a Spirit-centered life, an experience you don't want to miss. God's promises are readily available to be experienced by those who honestly seek wisdom that only comes from him.

My childlisten to what I say,
    and treasure my commands.
Tune your ears to wisdom,

    and concentrate on understanding.
Cry out for insight,
    and ask for understanding.
Search for them as you would for silver;
    seek them like hidden treasures.
Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord,
    and you will gain knowledge of God.
For the Lord grants wisdom!

Where are you searching for wisdom? The news, tabloids, tarot cards, bar stool, psychics, YouTube, Jordan Peterson, Richard Dawkins, etc.? This summer, you are encouraged to seek wisdom from the original source: God.

Remember, knowledge alone is not wisdom; it must be practiced to become wisdom. Knowledge + Experience = Wisdom.
