Day Fifteen

WPS – Wisdom Positioning System (Read Proverbs 7:1-5)

"If your life is cloudy and you're far, far off course, you may have to go on faith for a while, but eventually, you'll learn that every time you trust your internal navigation system, you end up closer to your right life." ~ Martha Beck

When you journey through life, proceeding with God's WPS is imperative. What is a WPS? It's a supernatural system by which beacons of truth are sent from God to a unique device called the human soul through a conduit known as the Holy Spirit. This system shows a person's position on the surface of the earth very accurately. Wise people all rely on their WPS to navigate life. Where is the WPS located? Deep down inside every human being.

With every fiber of our existence, we should strive to rely on God's WPS, a system of spiritual principles that, if adopted as a design for living, will lead to a life of freedom from the bondage of self. This freedom liberates us from ourselves, empowering us to embrace a "Thy will be done" way of life rather than a "my will be done" way of life.

The eye of the soul is the group of spiritual principles God granted humanity to live by, yet we fight for self-preservation. Why? Because we love sin too much to leave it. We can only be transformed by God's love, which is only experienced by dying to SELF and living a spiritually principled life one day at a time.

Follow my advice, my son;
    always treasure my commands.
Obey my commands and live!
    Guard my instructions as you guard your own eyes.[a]
Tie them on your fingers as a reminder.
    Write them deep within your heart.

Love wisdom like a sister;
    make insight a beloved member of your family.

We are to guard the teachings of God by writing them "deep within [our] hearts." Later, the Apostle Paul describes us as a "letter from Christ" that is carved…on human hearts." The truth must be written on our hearts, not on the tablets of stone, and Jesus is the truth (2 Corinthians 3:3).

"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest." ~ Confucius

 What do you rely on for guidance? Would you sail across the ocean without a compass, map, navigation system, GPS, or radio? Of course not; only a fool would attempt such a feat. So why try to navigate this journey called life without connecting with God's WPS, especially when God is the one who designed and patented the human experience to start with?

Someone once said, "A man is never lost if he's making good time." Now, that's funny, but it's false. Does anyone know for sure how much time they possess? On this 4th of July, choose absolute freedom by relying on the one true WPS for navigating the challenging journey called "life." You'll never regret it because you'll find your way home to the promised land.
